OUR STUDIO
At Motion Center Yoga we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community of students. Smaller class sizes ensure that you get individual feedback and adjustments, so you can progress safely. Motion Center Yoga is committed to making Iyengar Yoga accessible to everyone. Please contact us for our Equity in Access option.
Motion Center Yoga first opened its doors in 2005 on the East Side of Providence. It was founded by Kaeli Sutton, and soon after Naama Gidron joined as co-director. After five years in Providence’s Jewelry District, Kaeli opened a new studio, Open Circle, to pursue her passion for supporting growing families. Meanwhile, Motion Center Yoga relocated to Pawtucket and is now a Center for Iyengar Yoga. Naama co-teaches at Motion Center with Christy Chase, longtime certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and friend.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

I have taken various yoga classes on and off over the past 25 years, with a number of styles and teachers. To my mind, Naama and Christy are the best I have encountered. They are kind, thoughtful, and work from a deep well of years of yoga teaching practice. Their classes are always interesting, and they are both super-attentive to our body positioning in the various asanas, which both maximizes the benefit and greatly reduces the risk of injury. They create a warm, friendly, and accepting environment, with all bodies welcome. I feel at home when I come here! Whether you’re new to yoga and are curious to try their Foundations Series, or whether you have a lot of yoga experience, I encourage you to give the Motion Center a try. – Karlo B. | ![]() |
