Making Friends with Backbends

October 27, 10am-12:30pm, $30
Backbends are energizing and bring a sense of lightness and joy to the body and mind. They keep the spine strong and supple which is especially important as we age. Learn how to approach backbends so that they feel less "daunting." We will explore muscle and joint action to backbend safely and experiment with what props (tools) to use to progress in practicing prone, supine and inverted backbends. Must have 6 months of Iyengar Yoga or teacher's permission to attend.
